The University of Canberra will install five ‘3 on 3’ basketball courts throughout its Bruce campus, thanks to an injection of Government funds of more than $215,000. Announced today by Liberal Senator Zed Seselja, the funding is part of the Sports Infrastructure Grants Program included in the Federal Budget.
“We welcome this commitment to encouraging a healthy, active campus, not just for our students, but also for our staff and the broader community to access for clubs, training, competitions and recreational activity,” said Carrie Graf, 91°µÍø Director of Sport.
“Initiatives such as this encourage an active campus and speak to our ethos as a leading sport and health university.”
Work is expected to commence on the installation of the courts as soon as possible.
